  1. What did Spealer have to say for himself Rev?

  2. Well.............., He was quite modest (as you'd expect) with regards to his performance in the games. We spoke about how crossfit is becoming a global sport, about our families, and he wished us all well at Functfit and hoped we could all learn and benefit from everything that crossfit has to give.

He also asked if longsocks now has a world record for the most nicknames given to someone in under 12 months. (He's a big fan of Dragons Den)

  3. How cool is the "what is crossfit" film shown on the mainsite? If you haven't watched it go take a peak. I see something in each and everyone of them in each and everyone of us.
And yes before anyone says it I did used to resemble the guy at the start. What does it say on his t-shirt, I couldn't quite catch it?

  6. Rev - How was that WOD tonight. I'd like to pay homage to Coach M for scaling and finding us a way to deal with what Crossfit.com threw at us. Personally, I was doing Ok until part c and then it was horrible. OMG that hurt!!!

  7. I didn't train last night Gav, family commitments, I did manage to call over the gym and see your efforts, power to you and SP for giving it a fair crack. Part c did look brutal!

  8. Thanks for the update socks, The Rev will be in the stands for the games but there are quite a few FunctFitters showing true potential for the qualifiers.
Great to see Gary going well again, and the girls looked as if they were pushing him hard. Great to see the coach back in action, He flew the 95kg powerclean as if it were a twig!

  9. To Anon, thanks for the shout out, I'm no expert but my take on it is that crossfit at FunctFit can be for anyone, young, old, new to training, experienced weightlifter or gymnast it doesn't matter. Your spot on with your comments about Mat and Claire, the pictures are awesome (one day I'm going to put 'em all into a book) and their time and efforts they put into everything are second to none. You don't get this with a regular gym.
    Well said Anon!

  10. I've got to say "I am amazed"!
Got the crossfit total done today with a new PR of 387.5kgs. Sseemed like everyone felt like hitting new records, Claire on all 3 lifts, Jamie, Socks, Lou, Clive and everyone else there.

The star of the show goes to Big G aka Geraint Long, smashing 110kgs shoulder press, 200kgs easy squat, and 250kgs deadlift total of 560kgs!!!!

Let me tell you something about Big G he's not the smallest guy or the most experienced, but he rocks up get his shit squared away, looks at the workout and hits it with all he's got. Even if the WOD kicks his ass he will fight to the sometimes very messy end.

I think there are a lot of people who could borrow a leaf from Big G's book, give it your all, the results will come, super work from all today Big G just led the way!!!!!

  11. THE G MAN ROCKS!
I would have loved to have seen it! yabadabadoo to everyone on the total.
part a from yesterday for me, loved the PU. Did you recommend them to Dave Castro Coach, I seem to remember you showing me them quite a few month ago? OHS demolished me at 42.5kg and had to eat humble pie and drop to 35kg for round 2 and 3. (Oh I climbed my front fence twice).
Time (a slow but steady) 17:40

I'll be back in a sec

  13. Ah, right I'm back sorry guys had to build a paper rocket with the boy, took a bit longer than expected, I was never very good when blue peter did those things on tele and you made 'em at home.
Where was I...........oh yes, since your online SP more power to you and Gav for doing the WOD as prescribed!
I'm hoping to visit the hollowed turf to complete part b tomorrow and I think socks is selling tickets on Monday for part c where he's billing it as Rev vs The Rope.
I agree bro thats a mind bendingly brill Back squat. In fact G's press is not far off my back squat! Superb stuff, looks like they all had fun today SP, lucky buggers!
