08/11/10 - WOD
The J man (AKA Olive) executes a perfect snatch!!
Complete:
1 snatch on the minute for 15 minutes - adapt weight accordingly!
He's like Russel Berger doing the snatch in the what is crossfit film. Nice J...How cool is that film? Still does it for me even though I've seen it a gazzillion times (I've got it on download, how sad is that).
Anyhow, loving the quotations, sweet.
Having to catch up on some work right now so just a quick post, I'll be back later with a little something for you.
Enjoying the Oly lifts at the moment, still only using breakfast weights but form is really starting to take shape.
Chiropractor booked in for Tues means I'll have to fit the lumberjack in on Thurs, that'll hopefully mean work permitting I can squeeze the rope climb WOD in on Weds. Should be back on track come the weekend so it'll be The Macarena (With Los Del Rio Socks & SP) come Sat night!
The resident club DJ at Tiger Tiger has lost some of his records and since they've heard Retro Rev will be in town they've asked if I'll bring along some of my own tracks. I've had a scout around and managed to dig out a few classics like...
Eye of the Tiger (Balm) by Survivor featuring Socks.
Lets Get (Shop) Physical by Olivia Newton John
Legs by ZZ Top and Jamie
(He ain't Heavy) He's my brother by the Hollies featuring Big G (Re-released version)
Wings of a Dove by Madness featuring Owen and his ring dismount.
Wild Thing by Tone-Loc and the Chief
Stand by Me by Ben E King featuring Adam and Kris when Westie heard of Keith plan to change the Buddy carry partners around for the games.
19 by Paul Hardcastle (and Gav with his latest 5k run time)
Jump by Van Halen featuring everyone doing Burpees
Wake me up before you (3..2..1) Go Go by Wham and Claire on the stop watch.
Smooth Operator by Sade featurng Mat FF on all the workouts lately (talented git).
Stuck with you by Huey Lewis and the New featuring Socks and Keith on the Buddy carry.
Every little thing she does is magic by the Police and the Machine (We just can't seem to catch her on the metcons)
Holding Back the Years (or trying to) by Simply Red and The Rev.
Land of Confusion by Genisis featuring Gary and the Chief trying to explain a wallball WOD.
Head over Heels by Tears for Fears and Gary and Rev on the Buddy carry.
Walk like an Egyptian by the Bangles and Gav doing lunges.
Ben by Michael Jackson and Ben.
Girls Just Wanna have fun by Cyndi Lauper and all the functfit girls.
Do you really want to hurt me by Culture Club featuring Rev on his first and second encounter with Eva.
We built this City by Starship and Gary on his latest Brick a Block project.
It ain't what you do (it's the way that you do it) by Fun boy 3 and Mat when he's trying to coach us the oly lifts.
Oh and finally
To Shy (to speak to Sam Briggs) by Kajagoogoo featuring Socks during the ground to overhead.

I second that one Gav - me and Mat were giggling over this one at the kithen table this morning.
ReplyDeleteJon - your an absolute diamond!
i think that the rev should have his own daily section next to quote of the day, as i cant wait to see what he comes up with next. :-)
