Great effort on the burn Fellas. I think you did all the paddling on the Kayak though Coach. It doesn't look as if Owen has any intention of getting his paddle wet in the photos!!!
LOL well spotted Gav - poor Owen said that there were a number of occasions where he thought he was going to die! At approximately 7:30pm yesterday he had had cramp 72 times. Hilarious!!!
Fair play Owen had to pull me along on the run as my legs felt as big as big g's from the day before. so I thought I would make up for it on the bike and kayak. Big effort from Owen on the day. had a look at the split times and we finished the run in 16th, but then got lost on the bike and done an extra couple of k. Enjoyed the event but was glad to see that there were more competitors in the games the day before, just shows how much Crossfit is growing in the UK. As well as that it goes to show how constantly varied functional movement executed at high intensity will prepare you for any task asked of the body, while the shear determination needed to complete Crossfit workouts focuses the mind. Just goes to show all the old school training methods are old for a reason and that most trainers in our area need to have a long hard look at what they think FIT really means. Best quote I've heard in a long time "this is Crossfit, not all the shit you like fit" - Matthew Evans owner of Crossfit Velocity
